How do I get your book onto my Kindle, iPad, or other device?

I want to read your book on my…

Set Up Kindle Email Address

The first step to getting a book into the Kindle app on your Apple device (iPad or iPhone) is to download the book file.  Once downloaded, you will need to attach it to an email and send it to your Kindle email address.  To make sure your Kindle email is active follow these instructions:

  1. To get your Kindle’s email address, go to www.amazon.com/myk using your Web browser. Tap on “Your Devices,” then choose the relevant Kindle from the gallery below. Next to “Email,” you’ll find the Kindle’s email address.
  2. Now click “Settings” and scroll all the way down to the “approved personal document e-mail list.” Click “add a new approved e-mail address,” and add the email address you intend to send your books from.

*Remember, your Kindle needs to be attached to a Wi-Fi or 3G network for this to work. It doesn’t have to be your home network, of course; you can go to a coffee shop or a public library, for instance.

Send Book to Kindle Account

Once your Kindle email is set up, here’s what to do next:

  1. Submit the form on judimoraw.com to have a download link emailed to your personal (not Kindle) email account.
  2. Follow the link in that email to download the book file – you will need the Mobi file for reading in the Kindle app.
  3. Once the file is downloaded, attach it to an email and send it to your Kindle email address.  (This might seem a little strange – you want to send the email FROM your personal email account TO your Kindle email address.)
  4. Kindle will automatically add the attached book file to your Kindle account for reading.

Email Book File to Personal Email Address

Once your Kindle email is set up, here’s what to do next:

  1. Visit judimoraw.com and choose the book you’d like to read.

Download Book File & Send to Kindle Email
  1. Click the link in that email to download the book file.  (NOTE:  If you’re doing this step on an iPhone, it’s our experience that the download works better if the link is opened in Safari as opposed to your Email app.  If the link countdown reaches zero and it doesn’t appear to be downloading, trying opening the link in Safari instead.)
  2. Once the file is downloaded, you need to attach it to an email.  How you do this will depend on the device you’re using.  For instance, on an iPhone you will click “More…” and choose your Email App.  This should create a blank email with your book file as an attachment.  If you’re using a laptop or desktop computer, you will navigate to your Email program and create a blank email and add the book file as an attachment.
  3. Once you’ve attached the file to your blank email, send it to your Kindle email address. (This might seem a little strange – you want to send the email FROM your personal email account TO your Kindle email address.)
  4. Kindle will automatically add the attached book file to your Kindle account for reading.
Open the Book on Kindle E-Reader

Turn on your Kindle E-Reader and make sure it’s connected to WiFi.  It may take several minutes for Kindle to receive your email, process your file, and add it to your account.  Once they do, you will see the book in your Library where you can tap to download and read it.
